It is wedding season again!!! To start off this years wedding season, I took pictures of Tina & Stewart. These guys were awesome! They really wanted to get a full range of shot for their engagement set and in the process they took me out to a lovely Japanese restaurant (Ebisu). The restaurant is where Tina and Stewart had their first date. Enough talking here is their set.

Here are some shots from my mini photo shoot with Paige Sierra Super Smoker, or just “Super” for short. The only problem with these mini photo shoots is that we end up drinking more then shooting. So we only get about 30 mins of actual shooting done.

Vancouver Motorcycle Show 2012

This weekend I was invited to the Vancouver Motorcycle Show to take some pictures. Unfortunately I was only able to go for just one day (Saturday). Luckily though on Saturday the sky’s cleared up and it wasnt too bad on the track. It was still supper slippery but at least it wasn’t raining. I also wished I could have seen some SuperMotos racing but those were on Sunday. Well here are the photos from the event. Feel free to be a fan of my work at…..

This kid was tearing it up on the track. Even though the track was wet, he hit the corners at full tilt. Definitely a natural talent.

Crashing or falling on your bike sucks and I wouldn’t even wish that on my worst enemy, however seeing this made me smirk a bit, sorry it just did .

Mindy & Edward’s Wedding

As many of you know, my little sister got married with a great man named Edward. Their wedding took place in Ottawa and a huge majority of my family flew down to see this great day.

It defies logic how my mom can stay so beautiful and young looking.

Good ole Brandy, she is representing our hometown. Now if we could only find a cup that said PO-COmton.

..Traditional Korean bows to the parents. I thought it was a great touch to a multi cultural wedding.

The Korean wedding photographer in me couldn’t resist doing the big group shot with a kiss.

Honestly, this shot of Ed is one of the best candid pictures I have ever taken in my life.

This one, not so much.

Mindy & Edward Engagement

My younger sister is getting married this October and I will also be their main photographer. In addition, both Ed and Mindy were down in Vancouver for a friends wedding so this was the prefect opportunity to do their engagement photos. I’ll be honest, it was kind of weird to do their photo session because engagement shots tend to be very “kissy” and no older brother wants to see that. However I was really glad with some of the shots that came out as well I was amazed at how easy it was to work with Mindy & Edward.

This weekend I was shooting Jes’ wedding. Jes is an old family friend and my sister was a part of the wedding party. Originally I was considered as the main photographer but at the time I was living in Korea and could not commit to the date. Luckily however I am now back in Vancouver and Jes asked if I could do the pre-ceremony shots (I of course said Yes). In addition, because Jes has a million dollar smile it was super easy to produce some of the best shots I have every taken. I only wish we had more time as there were more great photo opportunities at Georgia Hotel. Well here they are enjoy!!!

Megan & Shawn

The day started off like most wedding…… CRAZY and Chaotic.

Megan and Shawn’s wedding was no exception. However once the ceremony started the Wedding Gods were really looking out for the lovely bride and groom and everything turned out amazing.

...... ..

..This is usually the moment where all your stress goes out the window and when you finally realize….. Ohhh My… Im getting Married.
....At one point I could tell that Meg was a getting a bit exhausted from all the group shots, so to lighten the mood I told her to “strike a pose” that is when this prefect gem and smile shined through. I was very glad I caught this candid moment as I was shooting from the hip.
I’ve always loved the big group shots where the Bride and Groom are kissing.
It looks as if Shawn’s kiss literally blew her veil back.

Hannah & Ryan’s Couples Photo Shoot in Stanley Park

This weekend I had met Hannah and Ryan. Hannah had originally contacted me via email and we both instantly knew we were going to have a great photo set. Hannah’s energy and enthusiasm to get a great set of pictures could be seen from the first email to last picture. Ryan was awesome too, even though he was a bit nervous and tense at first, as the day wore on he became a natural in front of the camera. Sometimes these couple’s photos shoots can be a bit overwhelming to the customer as they have no idea the level of thought and planning that goes into a great set.

This next shot was around the beginning of the shoot. I could tell right away they were a bit nervous and in addition, placing them on an ledge looking over a 50ft drop probably didn’t help either. However I got some great candid shots during this time.

This next shot is actually the same bridge but instead of hanging over the edge I decided to get on the floor. Ryan at this point was wondering what he had gotten himself into and was looking for a way out This is him eyeing his exit path.

Ryan had some scraps and scratches on his left arm from work however I was able to cover them up in Photoshop. This was also when I felt both people starting to relax and not be bothered by the camera. It was good practice for their real wedding coming up next year.

This next shot is when the light is starting to become magical. You got to love Vancouver Summers!!

Hannah had a great idea of wearing each other’s respective hockey teams hat on. It turned out great

I found anytime the dog came into the pictures both Hannah and Ryan started to get comfortable, kind of like a kid hugging their big teddy bear. Also, even though there were many “Lookie Loos” both of them really stated to shine in these photos.

This next shot is just an image of Ryan. The original image had Hannah blinking, so I cropped her out. I think this picture is awesome because Ryan looks like the lead singer of some rock band album cover art.
